i can take it here that  you are referring to recording a video comment? 

max_execution time on the hosting, also, the video makes kind of a round trip, goes from your file server to the RMS, comes back and gets processed. so there could be something stinking up the joint in that mix.

does AV chat work, but video comments are not?

Yes, everything works but the record video part of it.

 you need to have your host look at that for you. there is nothing wrong with dolphin and or video comment record. 

here is what takes place, you record the video on the server, the server pushes the video record to the RMS server, the RMS server converts it and sends it back. 

if you are able to see a preview of the recording, then the issue is when trying to send the file back. 

I have the same issue here....  The video/audio chat works fine, but the video comment recording dont work... i get an error after click on stop record... the problem is when the video encode...
