I can't upload photos

Hi guys! I am having a problem on the promo and logo block because I can't upload photos. Everytime I upload photos it says "file upload error". I'm new with this software, please help me guys!

check your media/images dir on the server for the right permissions, so far I can read can this be the problem.

I checked the media/images dir on the server and it has the right permissions(777). Any other solution for this problem? please help! Thanks!

Try different browsers  .....  No browser is consistent across the entire installation  .....

I already tried using other browsers. I even tried installing dolphin again in different browsers but it still won't work.

Any other ideas?
