I am seriously pissed now at the boonex team..

I've payed lot of money for this script, and i have been helping you guys out reporting bugs to get a finished final product.

Although, i made a bug report, specifying that THIS BUG is essential for you to fix to get my site live.

You have responded to all my other bug reports, but this one i had bumped for weeks to get your attention, but no response, and no fix.

It's quite a simple bug, so it should be easy to fix..

"When using the browse page, and you filter for females. Only female profiles will show, and no couples. For men it works, you will get both male and couple profiles."

You do realize this is was not a finished product, we were in Beta.. it's bugged, that's the reason for beta..

This may make you feel better though, "final" is out, upgrade your site, then you have all the reasons to bitch and moan.

I assume you have some female couples in the database?

The final is out yes, and i've tried it with the final release and the problem is still there, that is why i wrote this.

And ofcourse i have couple profiles with females in them in my database, otherwise my post would be pointless.

I have never been a fan of the whole 'couples' thing in Dolphin from the beginning. The reason being is that when you have a couple only the 1st person created gets the login/pass, email address, etc. There is no way to 'edit' the 2nd user (or at least wasn't previously)

If you have couples on your site, then it could be that all the 'males' are listed first. To test this theory, create a test couple profile and make both of them female. If you can search female and your test couple profile comes up, then you will know what the issue is.

Since the 'couple' profile is considered 1 profile, then it doesn't matter whether a female is in it or not..

What you are saying is correct, but that doesn't make it right. It is still a bug. The couple functioning might be uncomplete, and thats just more reason why they should be working to fix it.

I don't care about the second person not getting their own login, it will function accetably even without that.

But as i'm running a dating site with a niche, people should be able to search for both persons in the profile, and not just the first. I bought this script because i'm working on merging my old site to dolphin.

And this problem is the biggest one i have right now, because people will not be pleased with this at all.

They should really have made couples as a whole profile group with better support for 2 users. Yes.

But i'm not expecting that to happen, so i'm hoping they can do this atleast since that is a much smaller change, and it would be acceptable. Finding users overall is the most essential thing on a dating site.

Couples: ff, mm, fm, mf (with the last two listing the first person in the profile and of course the first two doesn't matter).  Now for a dating site you would want to search for heterosexual couples and homosexual couples; what is needed is a field that would indicate the couple sexual orientation.  If I am searching for a couple, would I care which was listed first in the profile or would I only care if the couple is hetero or homo?

I think a viable solution for you would be to add a search function for 'couples'. Last time I checked, you could only search Male or Female.  It may be just running a simple SQL script to resolve your issue, but I am not sure.

Maybe someone will jump in here and tell you how you can do that.

Or you could use a work around and use the tag feature which if "THAT" is searched it will be found only limited to the imagination of the actual "THAT" tag.  The possibilities are endless and not restricted as a left brain programmers line of thinking...It is often a chuckle to me to see the database line of thinking instead of the overwhelming possibilities dolphin brings to the table if just used...

Blue Eyes,Tall but worth the climb,Bondage,Female looking for Female,Yada,Yada,Yada

Whatever the tag can be found in a search only you can try to bring some conformity to the process like "ff, mm, fm, mf"

You would have to have a page or video showing it in examples but to me this makes what you are after so much easier and ready to go today and use!

I wonder how the other 700,000 Dolphin Based dating sites handle this.

My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees.

I cannot get the upgrade to even work- "duplicate database entry errors" accure. There are MANY problems and edits needed if you use Dolphin to build a site anyway - or you have to buy more modules from the market to achieve things like "State" instead of Country, as far as the Sexual preference fields, they can be easily added to join/profile edit/search etc. but I have NEVER activated the couple option on my sites -as it is kind of stupid option in my opinon - if people are interested in "dating"  couples that information is easily added to profile and again an additional field option for this can be added from the admin side and easily searchable.

Great but to how many? How many fields would you add?  I have no idea how many dating iteration there are but I have seen sites that try to define them into categories and they have 1,000's of iterations would you add 1,000's of possible fields or perhaps a drop down? Laughing TAGS allow for a great deal of latitude and if it were me I would filter the tags at the end of each month and then add the top tag to the list of categories...JAT

This isnt even a final. It is just labeled as such. There are still bugs left to be fixed and  more will come just because boonex rushed the release date.  A Beta 3 would have been very appropiate or a 7.2 for fixing the remaining bugs or ones that we find.

No software will ever be bug free, you'll always find new bugs, things that can be improved.
So it's not a rushed release.

You have not been here long.

It is quite common for boonex to move items that will take to long to the next release which will be 7.1.1

Most all of them are mobile app issues. 1 pertains to animated gifs which is not even a bug. It's a feature enhancement.

This is common practice. So get used to it.
