Just a few of the things I have created with power tools and lumber. These were early projects... before I got really good at  it.

So where is the really good stuff at ?

That 1st image .... the table looks tall! Not good for short people =)

Wrong.  Most people think that the privilege of knowing them, entitles them to incredible discounts. 

Yeah, it can suck working for family and friends lol.

Have you tried showing your work to other places like custom furniture stores ?

edit: or is this more just a hobby thing?

 Nope.  I have no desire to involve myself in a commercial woodworking business.  It would suck all the fun out of it.  Besides, there are easier ways to make money.

I especially like the chest of drawers. The corner accents are great!

 To give you an idea how old that chest is, the top drawer front flips down for easy access to a VCR, and all the drawers are dimensioned for holding VHS tapes.

It's made of cherry and stained with a gel stain that I made myself.  Those 45° fluted columns were a real pain to do... I know it took at least two tries to get them right.  I do all this out in my garage, but not too much in the summer because it's usually about 130° in there.

HL, beautiful work; I had a friend that was a professional woodworker and he taught me a few things before his death.  Again, beautiful work.

I remember someone telling me that they saw a gun cabinet at Walmart fabricated out of cheap particle board, but they wanted $250 for it.  He wanted to know if I could build a better one out of solid oak for less money.... the things people say to me when I don't have a fly swatter in my hand.

I am sorry HL. But I just couldn't resist myself. As crabby as you are on here and all the evilness you spew, I am so happy to see that you have a beautiful creative side to match. That is some damn good lookin' work there.

 The doctor said the voices in my head would quiet down if I found a hobby.  I like sharpening things too... knives, axes, machetes... etc.

That extra effort certainly paid off!
