Hurricane Sandy

I hope everyone along the US eastern coast stays safe the next couple of days.

I am in western mass. Last year i had to deal with Irene which flooded my house with a couple of feet of water.

This year it's Sandy. I do not live in the same area so i hope i do not have to deal with flooding, but there is the possibility of loss of power.

So if you do not see me online tomorrow or after, you will know. Just a little heads up for anyone that needs to reach me.

Thanks.

So close to Halloween too. Last year we had snow on Halloween. This is the second year Halloween has been ruined by weather.

It's got to be a trick. I prefer treats.

This is like Freddy colliding with Jason.

They should rename the storms.

The winter storm that's pulling sandy inward should be named  Freddy, and Sandy should be renamed Jason. (ok, so it's not a female name)

Then you would have Nightmare on Elm street colliding with Halloween.

East coast Florida here, and we just got strong winds and some rain. I was in the eye of Hurricane Charlie back in '04, which at the time was the 5th worse hurricane in history. We had so many hurricanes that year, it went into the Greek alphabet.

Good luck to those that will be hit!

I read Sandy hit NY pretty hard...

Yes, and the New England area as well.  I lucked out pretty good.  never lost power and only lost internet for a few minutes.  All and all not to bad for me.

something like 130,000 people lost power in my state.....  Kids are still out of school though  :(

Yea, i expected much worse.

I have seen worse normal thunderstorms. No power loss for me either.

It's down to a tropical storm now. But still swinging around to the west of me. Some rain in the forecast for the next day. Got lucky on this one.

I feel sorry for West Virginia. I would rather have all the rain then have all that snow dumped on me.

GA got a little rain, winds around 20-35 mph (still), and definitely a drop in temperatures but thats about it. I surely feel sorry for those who suffered with flooding and snow.

I can only imagine, getting pounded by high winds AND snow?? Yuck!

Nothing to see here
