How to upload youtube videos??

Hi Friends,

I have been searching these forums like crazy but I did not found a single module that allows you to upload/embed youtube videos as an option during uploading of videos. Some people said Rayz "Youtube 2.0 mod" does it, so i installed it  only to found that it does not adds that option.

I would like to know how to add an option to the upload screen like this:

Upload from external server - youtube

Enter URL:

Submit

And it should automatically embed that video and i guess this is very easy. If someone can help me even by telling which files need to be modified I would appreciate it.

Unfortunately, there is no such option for what you are wanting to achieve at present for the video upload on dolphin.  You may however use embed code in the blogs and forums.

Sorry this does not help what you are looking for.  We all want a feature like you are describing.  With a bit of luck it may be included in future versions of dolphin.

I gave up on uploading vids to my site.

I just use VideoZone mod by camchat4u instead.

I guess if you have an adults site that would not work.

But otherwise I find it just soooo much better.

I just tell my members to upload their vid to Youtube and then post it in the VideoZone.

They can then shoose to have it display on their page as a small icon in favourites or as a larger screen featured vid.

Saves heaps of server space too !

Im working on a tweak I saw where you call upon the modules database info and then use php to parse html coding. I have a version of it to make a link on the clients profile page which allows viewers to access their website and email them. It at www.campusshowcase.com the site is in heavy alpha testing so it's not active yet, but it has potential.

I was on expertzzz.com and found a $10 tiny mce for profile code, well worth the money. Now you can format text and embed youtube and project play list code. The author is DVS something. Very cool!

Do you know how that mod handles embed code?  I'm curious how whitelisting is done.  Does it use SafeHTML or HTML Purifier?  I'm wondering how it allows embed code from only trusted sites.

i'm here looking for how to upload utube videos to Dolphin 7 also.  It can and "is" being done on a site I used to work with called www.BikerUnity.com. I thought it was part of the Dolphin software. I'm bummin...

Dolphin's video module includes the ability to embed YouTube videos.  Just select the embed option when uploading.
