How to remove Age and Sex from Chat

This is for dolphin/ray 6.1.6

Go to

/ray/modules/chat/langs/english.xml

Line 21

change

<item key="txtUserCaption"><![CDATA[#nick# #age#, #sex#.]]></item>

to

<item key="txtUserCaption"><![CDATA[#nick#]]></item>

Thank will remove the age and sex next to the image and nick for the "users in lobby".

can you post the code you have for the line you changed?

Clear your browser cache. The age and sex should dissapear.

What should I do for D7? The above mentioned files and path are not there in D7.

Need this for D7.  Members request either not showing age in chat at all, or BETTER YET having the option to show it

To change display of chat user name in chat rooms in D7:

File Path=  /flash/modules/chat/langs/english.xml

Goto Line 21 or 22 apply edit to

<item key="txtUserCaption"><![CDATA[#nick# #age#, #sex#.]]></item>

This should do it!

hey guys, I tried this but how do I remove the M or F from the right column?

I don't want it to show how many female or male at all since its a single sex site.

I have the same problem, need to get rid of the M F in the right hand column as its not correct! anyone?
