I've seen numerous debates over this, but a lot of the embedded images no longer exist in the threads. But I'd really like to know if/how it is possible to have no value selected for a dropdown list.
I have a chain of 3 fields, First being country and then Region which i dependant on the Country and then City which is dependant on Region all of which are mandatory. I want user's first choice to be 'Please Select' or what have you, but no matter what I do, it doen't seem to be obeying what I set for default.
Right now my default is 'CA' for Canada for the Country field. But when I change it to AA, which is the Value I have set for "Please Select" , the default still always seems to be Canada... If I change the default to US, it actually obey's it and put United States as default...
My question... why the heck won't it use AA? And... is there a real answer as to the procedure to get this to work?
