How to change Site domain name

Hi,

I am looking to change my domain name.  I'm not sure how to go about doing it.  I am a total novice in this whole techie area and I am afraid of messing it up.  If I could be provided simple step by step instructions to do this, I would be most grateful.

For Dolphin, all you need to do is update the URL in /inc/header.inc.php. If the file path to Dolphin also changed (e.g., /public_html/newdomain.com), make sure to update that line as well. Then clear Dolphin's cache.

For the server part, we would need more information on your hosting and your registrar.  For the Dolphin part, you simply edit the /inc/header.inc.php and find the part that has your domain name and change it to the new domain name and save the file.

for the server part, I have a VPS server with HostGator

As we were writing, the domain name has been changed on the server.  Now for the /inc/header.inc.php part.  Thanks a bunch.
