How many licence do i need?

I am not sure how many licence i need to buy.. maybe some of you could help me out here..

My Scenario:-

I'm spliting my domain into 3 subdomain (ex. biz.mydomain.com + money.mydomain.com + leisure.mydomain.com)

Each of the subdomain is installed with a independent(seperate database+scripts+theme) copy of dolphin.

do i need to buy 3 licence of permanet licence or just one since its all running under one hosting and domain??

hope some of you guys can help me out here...

Sounds like you want the 'Prime' package.  If you go and actually read the packages that are available it will answer this question of yours.  Boonex also has 'pre-sale' support to answer this question.  If you do some research on the site you won't have to clog the forum up with questions like this.

elvinlok, the forum isn't dead, but you should choose an agent and refer your questions to your agent. You will be provided with full information about BoonEx, Dolphin, licenses and other questions you may have. To choose an agent, please go to your Account section where you will find 5 people who are presented here as agents to guide you with Dolphin.

Not sure how it works now, but in the past subdomains bix.mydomain.com and mydomain.com were regarded as 2 different domains so 2 licenses. If they were in subfolders/subdirectories mydomain.com/bix or mydomain.com/anything then only the mydomain.com would require a license. Anything in a subfolder of mydomain.com/anything would take the top level domain license.

But if they are subdomains. Something.mydomain.com then subdomains are regarded as a whole different site/domain, so additional licensing.

Unless they changed this, I haven't tried it or messed with it for a while now, but if you do not want additional license fees then add dolphin in subfolders of the main domain like:
yourdomain.com/biz
yourdomain.com/money
yourdomain.com/leisure

Try the same license in each dolphin admin panel with dolphin installed in subfolders/subdirectories which should work because it's the same domain.

Otherwise subdomains most likely will cause you to need more licenses. If you can live with subfolders/subdirectories instead of subdomains it could save you some $'s.

on this same note, yes you would benefit from choosing an agent, but you also benefit from asking in the forums and getting community feedback. as for a recommendation on a GREAT Agent Mike Letcher would be my choice hands down.

as for the answer gameutopia has provided, that is what i recall as well. havent tinkered with it to see what is actually going on with D7. the work-around on the subdomain vs the subdirectory would be via htaccess or redirect on a control panel or manipulating your DNS records from your registrar..
