How does this shopping cart work?

Several years using Dolphin, but I never looked at the shop module.

Now I want to use it on my site for my members to sell stuff, but I have no clue how it works.

I created 2 test users to figure out how it works.

I managed to get an item in the store, but when I click on it to buy it, I get the message 'vendor doesn't accept payment'.

How can a vendor accept payments? Does he need a certain membership level? How can he integrate payments?

Could someone please help me with a short manual on this?

First of all, Modzzz has a module, Premium Shop that has some added features and I just saw where he is running a sale.

Anyway, the standard Boonex Dolphin cart is for selling downloadable content; however, it can be used to sell physical items by adding something to download, such as a warranty or terms of sale.  The person has to set up their paypal account info in their account page (or in their cart settings); not sure where because I have never looked at the cart.  However, that is why you are seeing vendor does not accept payments is because the member; in your case your test member, has not entered their paypal info yet.

Thanks for that info Geek Girl.

As I understand, the only payment method is Paypal?

Just asking this because I have the Mollie payment installed which offers also CC and online banking. I guess that's not possible with the store module?

Hello Annabel,

I bought the Premium Shop from Modzzz as well, like the standard shop it will only take PayPal, 2 Checkout, and Bitpay. In order for the shop owner to accept payment, just go to account - payments and in the window with precessed orders click the button "Processed" and go to "settings"

Here you can activate the payments. For PayPal just select "live" put in your PayPal email and as process type, select "PDT" (recommended by Boonex) Here's the instruction for PayPal:

Hope this explains your question

I think people forget that people can use credit cards and debit cards with PayPal; they don't have to have a PayPal account.  If you want to pay extra, you can even have it so that PayPal is not the primary means to pay.

I'm using Paypal for more than 10 years and it's the easiest way to pay worldwide.

But over here, in Belgium, it's still not the most common way to pay :-)
