How do you clean 'Cache' FTP for 7.1.1

I just manually upgraded to 7.1.1 in the instructions, it say to

Clean /cache/, /cache_public/ and /tmp/ folders via FTP or SSH, leave only .htaccess file there if one exists

Does that mean SELECT ALL AND DELETE everything in those folders? (except htaccess)

Thanks to the both of you, lol. How would I know my upgrade to 7.1.1 was successful, it still says 7.1 at the top of my home admin page.

1 more thing...

This is a brand new site, nothing on it and 1 member (me)

so what is this?

• Recompile system language file from Admin Panel -> Settings -> Languages Settings -> Languages
• Clean /cache/ folder again
• Recompile Forum language file from Admin Panel -> Modules -> Forum -> Manage Forum

 it was, or it would say upgrade to "7.1.0"

and of course you changed the header.inc.php

I already had 7.1 so I thought it would change.

but you're right, I did change it to 7.1 (i feel silly now, lol)
