I can't see any way of managing Newsletter Subscriptions email addresses.
Is there a tool for this?

I'd love to know also. Thanks... |
Goto the mass mailer and create a message. While sending it, you will asked whether you need to send it to subscribers. Regards, Praveen ---- |
I'm actually looking for a way - other than using MysqlAdmin what ever, to manage the actual mail list. So I can remove, modify, or even add subscribers. I understand the mail out part. But there is no mechanism I can see to manage actual subscriptions.

Mike Scott has a Mass mailer that you can manage different groups, and is set up in you dolphin admin, this may be what you are looking for.

you cant add them, they have to subscribe themselves. if you just start adding people you are spamming them
Ok, don't want to actually add names. Don't like spam any more than the next person - but already I have a number of email addresses in there that are just junk like, xxxou@scnhk.ccc
So it's into MySQL to remove them one at a time by hand. What a pain. |
For the members is ok, because the members receive an email for confirmation and activate. So, that email is correct and is not a spam. But, if I'm not a member, but I'm a hacker, I'll play for a few hours writing email like support@boonex.com, support@microsoft.com in the newsletter box (I don't need to sign in for do that). There's no confirmation, so, when I'll send my newsletter, a lot of people will receive my email, and they don't want it. It's a big problem. |
I check into editing the list after it is created...
However to stop the spamming --> Admin --> Builders --> Page Builders --> Select Home Page --> Select the Subscription Box and uncheck "guest". This way members can only subscribe which would ultimately like to recieve your community NewsLetter.
Hacker's just won't waste their time --> To many easier targets :) |
I have noticed that in order for members to receive the newsletter, they have to have their birthdate in their profile. If there isn't a birthday in their profile, they don't receive the email. Is there a way around that without requiring the birthdate of members? |
Try setting a "default" birthdate in profile fields builder. |
