How close is Dolphin 7?

Just asking in general, not specific, how close Dolphin 7 is. BoonEx looks to be the perfect software package for our upcoming community, however I don't want to spend a lot of time developing and spending money on ad-free licenses only to find out that I have to buy new licenses or that major changes have been made which break the hard work we will have put into the site. If it is only a few weeks away then I would rather hold off.

Ditto... I would also like to use Boonex, but my partner in crime thinks we should hold off until Dolphin 7 - when ever it shows up.

We have already started translating in 6.2, but don't want to continue if that system is changing in 7.

May I suggest that the developers put a countdown on the front-page? Or create a specific dolphin 7 page with links to all this related information like Trac, roadmap, etc?
