I am using 7.0.4 and I was wondering if there is a way to change the profile type (single or couple) after a person has joined. The premise being, a couple joins, they part sometime after they join and one of them wishes to keep the profile active. Or the reverse, a single person joins and becomes a couple afterwards. Is there a way for them to change the profile type or do they have to start from scratch? I want to do this so that a person doesn't lose all of the contacts and media they've already uploaded. Anyone have any ideas? Thx. |
there is no option on edit profile page to change profile type from single to couple or from couple to single,
this is a bug i think...

I used these instructions to change a single to a couple not too long ago. http://www.boonex.com/unity/forums/topic/From-single-to-Couple.htm |

Hope is not a bug! In our point of view, it should not be allowed, since we have different ways of activation of these profiles...In fact, it is very useful for us...

If Boonex changes this, I hope at least it would be something that the Admin can control in the Admin Panel, giving the users the option OR NOT, to change profile type after registration. Otherwise, Dolphin would became pretyy much unuseful to us... Sleepless |

See this link from a previous post in this thread: http://www.boonex.com/forums/topic/From-single-to-Couple.htm#99558
But I'm not sure if that completely does it or leaves any issues. You should make a backup of your site before messing with the database. Honestly, I think it's better to simply remove the option to create a Couple.
