For years we had smaller fish tanks but then just stopped; I think it was due to the period in which we were forced to move and did not have the house yet. Then we just never set one back up. I am not even sure what happened with the equipment. It was enjoyable, fish are fascinating creatures to watch.
I been wanting to do my own custom acrylic tank here in the near future... i seen on youtube how to heat and bend and work with it,,, and to get it glued and stuff.. hardest thing is gonna be getting the bends in just the right spot so it all lines up evenly.

I am getting another one soon.. probably why I'm in such a bad mood, because it was so relaxing to watch. It used be in my home office room.

Gentle curves instead of sharp ones, I would go with a reasonably wide radius to the bend, easier and less stressful on the acrylic.

Yes try Blagdon V8 Pondseal it is very good, 3 coats minimum need, but is about £65 ($100) for 5L (litres) and covers about a quarter of what they say on the tin. We also added it to the concrete mix. Make sure you do not use any kind of PVA sealant as it contains ammonia (NH3).

Nice. I don't know how well known it is, but I've seen test results of a new .50 cal. armor piercing incendiary round for sniper rifles. The projectile is made of two metals that combine when the bullet hits the armor plating of say... a vehicle in Afghanistan. Shortly after the bullet pierces the armor, it ignites and raises the temperature inside the vehicle to 5000 degrees for a short period of time.... long enough to create Al Qaeda Al Carbon.
My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees.
now we have a small 10 gal with a few fish (a tiger barb, a dwarf gourami, an electric yellow labidochromis, a dwarf pleco, albino cory and a couple of glow tetras)
None working now (6 empty 10gal tanks) but over the years I've had a total of over 40 tanks... all fresh water... some I built myself... largest ones were 70 gals... many just for breeding. I tended to go big or not at all... so when I was "in" it was a time consuming hobby with at least 10 tanks. Now a days I tend to spend my "off" time in the outdoors... away from computers. But every once in a while, especially during the rainy season, I ponder the idea of setting up a couple of tanks for my home-office.
