Headings not displaying right

Hi

I just installed 7.1.4 tonight but all the top menu items are displaying weirdly:

_bx-ads-Ads      _articles_top_menu_item        etc. etc.

What did I do wrong please and how do I get the proper wording showing.

Oh and also when I click any of these links I get:

The requested URL /???/ was not found on this server.

Thanks

Those are the language keys you are seeing.  Go to your admin, go to settings, languages settings, then click on languages in the upper right of the block, when the block changes displays, click the checkbox for the language and then click on compile.  Then go to tools, cache, clear all, and clear the caches.  Then see if the proper words appear in your menu.  If not, let us know.

Hi and thank you for the suggested fix.  I tried that but strangely there is no language to select to compile - mine is English.  Perhaps I missed a step when installing the script??

I must have had too little caffeine yesterday but I have reinstalled and everything is good.

Thanks for your very speedy support geek_girl

Hah!

I can now see the menu wording correctly but on Firefox I am not seeing the colourful header with the  JOIN and LOGIN buttons.  Shows fine on Safari.  Is this a know issue or is it again just me :(

No, it is not a known issue, it is just you.  FireFox is bad about not detecting when a page changes; I always go into the FireFox caches and clear it when working on a Dolphin site.
