HTML5 in Dolphin 7.1

Hello

I updated my Dolphin to version 7.1 beta. How can I run HTML5 instead of Flash in video and music player.

Make sure that you've enabled "Use H264 codec" in Dolphin Admin Panel -> Modules -> Flash Apps -> Video Player | Comments Video Player -> Settings.

This option is enabled by default, so you maybe disabled it some time ago.

It should be installed by default, try to re-upload flash module files, maybe some files were damaged.

Do you need to un-install the flash player to use the html5 video/sound module?

There are none so blind as those that will not see.

Having the Same Problem right now. ._. Idk what to do. How to make the Html5 audio player appear? I installed it but the flash still doesnt go away.

I have noticed that Firefox for example loads HTML5 player and then switches over to flash (I see the html5 player for a fraction then Flash kicks in). Same page/video in Chromium renders fine HTML5 player only.

It should work in all supported browsers for NEWLY uploaded videos after installing "HTML5 Player" module.

Old videos can't work in all browsers, since not all video formats are available.

Well i made my one work ^_^ . I cloned sound and changed it to Music and Playlist. (: and  i just had to change some code with the html5 audio player/video player module x'D . just changed it to the name of my new module. So check that sql code. (this may not apply if your situation is not the same as mines)

After looking in several places - and by this time you may have already found the answer - I have found a solution that works for me. I have made no changes to the site files but for 1 exception: add this bit of code to the bottom of the .htaccess file - but above the "AddType application/vnd.adobe.air-application-installer-package+zip .air"

AddType video/webm .webm

AddType video/mp4  .mp4 .m4v

AddType audio/mp4  .m4a

AddType video/ogg  .ogv

AddType audio/ogg  .ogg .oga

After inserting above code, I then cleared all caches in Dolphin and browser. Videos are working perfectly for those added after installation of html5 module. Since I installed all modules immediately after installing site I can not say if this solution will work for pre-html5 module. Apparently, Firefox has issues when dealing with html5. I have never had this issue when dealing with any other html5 players in firefox, but oh well. It is what it is.

Hope this helps someone
