HTML emails

It seems emails are been sent out as plain text and the html is not generating ie not html emails why is this?

It looks like this:

any ideas?

Check the tags allow_short_open_tags and short_open_tag both need to be set to On, if you have more than one php.ini file you need to set it On in BOTH files.
