HOw to add any block in homepage to dashboard? sql command?

Can any body please tell me? I am guessing i have to insert a sql command in sys_page_compose table. Can any body give me a template code so i can paste in phpadmin to insert the blocks in homepage to dashboard please!

What is it that you are trying to do? Are you just trying to add a page block to the homepage? This is done in Admin>Builders>Pages Blocks>Select Page>Home Page

Deano's Tools (http://www.boonex.com/m/Deanos_Tools_V1_6_Dolphin_7_0_Version) has more advanced page block editing tools as well.

Well you will be disappointed. You used the word ANY in your topic. Sorry to say that not all blocks within dolphin can be copied to another page. Only blocks of type php,html and rss can be copied. That makes up a very small percentage of dolphins page blocks. Less than 20%

Most of dolphins page blocks are written specifically for use on the page they are on and will not work when dropped onto another page.

You are correct. The table is sys_page_compose. But i cannot just give you a query. Each block will be different.

Basically you can use phpMyAdmin and edit the block you want to make a copy of. When editing, remove the ID and change the page name from index to member then instead of just saving it, you would tell phpMyAdmin to insert as a new row. It's an option at the bottom. If you fail to insert as a new row insead of just saving it then will damage the one you were editing. So do not miss that step.

Now of the blocks on the home page, the following cannot be copied.

Deano i used you mod Deano's tools to copy some blocks in dashboard to homepage so homepage has both dashboard blocks and hompageblocks.. i was going to move homppage block to dashboard but its more easiyer to jst copy some dashboard blocks to homepage! i did try adding homepage blocks to dashboard but it kept freezing my computer....too much blocks on dashboard and i didn't like it...soo yeah ..xD

So what do you do once you have saved your block in the database improperly and damaged it? Now the block doesnt show properly, or in my case, i somehow copied over the sample html block and now i cannot add custom html blocks to my website so No new custom pages can be made.. how do i return my sample html block back to original condition or just create a new one altogether?

Proper way to use HTML Blocks,

1. when dragging a block up to use on the page
2. do not leave the * Caption Lang Key:  _HTML Block the same or even worse blank
3. add the Block name _new_html_block_1 not "Twitter Update"

Reason, empty keys and duplicated _HTML Blocks in the database are a pain to search down and fix, it can be done but it is time consuming.

This may or may not be your issue but perhaps other new members it will help.

 maybe create subdomain testing site, look at the correct database info and correct.
