HELP with importing d7.1.6 to 7.3.3.1 data

I need some help. my old d7.1.6 has been running for over a year and has lots of data in it

mostly groups and blogs. is there any way to copy the data from 7.1.6 into

7.3.3.1? i tried a straight copy of fields including profiles but got errors

I am doing this manually right now and it is such a headache.

there must be an easier way. anyone?? know how?? please tell

Hello, It's normal that this does not work, you must successively apply the updates in order:

1. Dolphin upgrade patch from 7.1.6 to 7.2.0
2. Dolphin upgrade patch from 7.2.0 to 7.2.1
3. Dolphin upgrade patch from 7.2.1 to 7.3.0
4. Dolphin upgrade patch from 7.3.0 to 7.3.1
5. Dolphin upgrade patch from 7.3.1 to 7.3.2
6. Dolphin upgrade patch from 7.3.2 to 7.3.3

 You will have errors in the third-party modules, it will also need to be up to date.

There is no import tool.  Changes in the database structure means that you can not do simple imports.  It will probably cost you more to have someone to import than to do the upgrades.  Be sure to make a copy of your database and site files no matter what method.  There are vendors in the market that offer import services so maybe contact one of them.  I think Denre offers import services.
