HELP photos NOT working

thumbnails work fine.. go and click on one anywhere and you get a blank pciture on the photo screen.

this was usually fixed by restoreing the htdocs files from an old back up.. but it's gone now.

no big photos can be seen.. although view original works fine.

so what seems to be the problem with this website code for photos?

anyone help solve this problem?

somthing was changing the pic setting to 6000 so they appeared way off the screen..going into  modues and putting the settings back to 600 solved the preblem complely.. but what is changing the values i would like to know
