Guestbook basic understanding problem

How can I setup guestbook to enable friends to leave comments? I found only an option to place guestbook within Navigation Menu Builder. So the user can navigate to his own guestbook using the drop down navigation bar.

This question might sound a bit silly, but why setting up GUESTbook to leave comments for the user him/herself?

How can I make the guestbook accessible for friends which are on the particular users profile page?

Fields and Pages Builder don't seem to have an option to configure this. Maybe it's my Mac Firefox/Safari again, which already generated a lot of trouble in the past configuring Dolphin?!? Right now I'm a bit struggled on this basic problem.

Thanks!

Dirk

In 6.1 (submenu) you can click guestbook when you are logged in on any profile.  Actually, it's been a bug that even those not logged in can click guestbook and leave comments when site is in free mode

Thanks, mydatery!

That was a helpful pointer. Firefox on my Mac indeed messed with me again. After changing values in "Member guestbook" it got changed back to original values just by opening the item in Menu builder again.  I placed the "Member guestbook" item back into the profile view menu and it's working! Thanks for the pointer!

Also thanks for the hint in regards to the bug. I noticed a workaround in this forum, is this really working?
