Everyone is complaining about video, and it's the one part that's keeping me from really investing in Dolphin. While this goes on, I'm still paying dedicated hosting fees.
How about everyone in the same boat put up or shut up. I'm willing to put in $200, and maybe several others are willing to do the same. Maybe a developer with the time could take this on, or Boonex could spit it out faster if motivated (by fast I mean two weeks for something that's good enough).
Maybe what's in dolphin can be fixed, or maybe something like this: http://www.kaltura.org/
I'm not posting this in the jobs section because it's going to take big cash - and I'm not willing to pay it all.
In the end, maybe it will be put back in the hands of Boonex (not meaning if you don't chip in you get it free), I mean Boonex could sell it as an extra module.
I'm also willing to chip in on:
A group project to parse MP3 uploads, like PHPMotion does, and grab music info and cover art from the web.
An improved site wall, which I posted in another thread. I think starting with the RSS code feed in Dolphin is the way to go for this..
I will only chip in if the stuff ends in the hands of Boonex - because I don't want to support upgrades.
