Greetings! Glad to be here.

 Hello Unity Community!

I am new to dolphin, however, I am very impressed with its wide uses and especially with the community and the staff at boonex.

So far I cannot see anything bad anywhere in the posts, blogs, documents, and other items I have seen throughout. So before I really even start, as a newcomer, kudos to the community and the company itself, you have an amazing, helpful, and good presence already that is inviting to newcomers. When I started my current project I had not even heard of Dolpin or Boonex, and in less than 1 week I turned down all other options to even consider. Give thanks to Arvixe web hosting for their offer to install Dolphin!

Ok with all that out of the way, I wanted to make a post, and I realize this might end up being redirected to the Jobs area, and if so that is totally cool. I am looking to take my sight from out of the box to more customized to what I am looking for as an "end product" so I can start some beta testing. I guess my first question is where is the best place to find out if there is a mod or something I could use that I didnt immediately see in the market? Just ask in Jobs or code share or here? I have several items that I think will be small code stints but might already have been done.

Also, I am looking at 2 current mods in the market, but I might need small tweaks to them, should I just contact the maker directly?

I know I have made a long post and I am just a fledgling member, so thank you for reading this post and any and all help is appreciated.

:)

I am excited to be a part of the Boonex community and I am looking forward to the coming project and fun in the making!

First of all: WELCOME!!!!!!

Then:

You can ask in the forum whatever you want.

If you are looking for a mod you can ask to us if there is one OK for you in the market.

If there is not such mod, you can post a job offer.

As for the modules modifications, you should ask before to the makers of those mods.

Then if the makers won't be available, you can ask to any other programmer.

I can advice then some GREAT developers here, such as: AntonLV, ue30, Deano92964, ESASE, and me.......... =DDDD

All those programmers above have really good modules.

Especially I LOVE the AntonLV modules.

Thanks for the warm welcome and the responses.

I am looking for mods for the following: (A simple Yes there is one, no there isnt would be great so I can start building a job list Laughing )

Group Chat that can have a log that is kept for records(I saw one from Esase that I am investigating further).

A dice roller. (Basically a nice little random number generator for several predetermined dice types).

A mod to handle pdf uploads per member in the group and a little file manager for the group.

A mod that lets a member have a nickname just for that group.

The site concept is about being social and not about dating so I am slowly taking out items in that regard, but I want to really do all I can with the suite, and so far dolphin is much better than anything else I looked at. I have high hopes and since I have some coding knowledge from a long time ago when I was in school, I am just educated enough to be dangerous, I prefer to leave coding up to professionals!

Also it will help me start to learn how to handle some of the ideas in my head better!

Thanks Again!

Well, I think you should go in the job section in this case.

As I know there are no mods already made which may help you.
