I like things like this for clients, I know where to put it (GA code,) but with this, it allows the/my client to finish things on their site and save themselves some $ and me some time.

Please help.  I just got this error "Installation of: Google Analytics Failed" and it took my site down.

turn off your cache, and  manually clear it via FTP leaving the .htaccess files first.

I just looked at your site. Not sure if this will clear it up.

I have not tested this as you see its been a while since I posted here.

[edit] Also you have a special template and a modded site.

It would have been eaiser to insert your code in the _footer.html in the template your using.

 Browser cache or dolphin cache?  Are you available in your chat room?

 not sure if you see this at the bottom of your site.

 I do.  But I'm not sure what it means or how to fix it.

 I would think your missing some files or the permissions.

Need to contact the vendor on this one.

 Yeah, I contacted him.  The module looked so simple, I didn't even bother to do a back-up first.  It was just a simple module upload and install.  Lesson learned, never again.

Ok, problem is solved ... it was not related to the module!

It was a problem with permissions of "/langs/lang-en.php" file.

Can someone explain what the fix was on the language file? I'm having a similar problem. I tried to

Tried to chmod 755 & 777 on the languages.ind.php file

What permission do your "/langs/lang-en.php" file have?

yes this is possible ... change the following in config.php:

'compatible_with' => array('7.1.x'),

to

'compatible_with' => array('7.0.9'),

I am having trouble with the google Analytics with 7.3.3

I installed, setup a code with google, and google kept saying they could not find the code.

after 3 attempts I un-installed the product, go a NEW key from Google and re-installed, still the same issue.

The error is "

Any Ideas of what I can try at this point?

I fixed it,  the analyticstracking file was on the server as html instead of php I canged it to analyticstracking.php and it all works great.
