Fixed a small bug in the 7.1.x version where distance data was not calculated accurately because of unexpected records in table bx_wmap_locations that were unknown to me while developing this mod.

Please download the mod again and replace file /modules/Dately/geodistance/classes/DatelyGeoDDb.php with the new one from the zip file. Don't forget to clear your cache in dolphin administration.

Added support for mobile clients. Please download the mod again and read "mobile_support.txt" from the zip file.

You do not need to update the mod because nothing changed on the mod itself. I just added an instruction file.

Update: Since 7th April 14 this module also supports Dolphins mobile apps to show distances in search results and friend results pages. For android i included the neccessary changes (1 line) that have to be made to the android source code. You can apply, compile and reupload the app after you made the changes. If you cannot do by yourself i offer a paid android customization service which includes this modification too. Because i do not own any iOS device i cannot add the modification to the iPhone app and test it. I can only provide the information but not the code to implement it. It's easy i think, just write me for detailed information so you know what to do and we can talk about it. Later on i can add it to the instructions so others can do too. If you already purchased this mod please download the mod again and read "mobile_support.txt" included in the zip file. You do not need to reupload the module itself, nothing was changed on version 1.0.0.

Im afraid your going to need you to remove your encoding or issue me a refund on this.

Your base64 encoding methods are setting off alarms on my hosting server! The malware scan reports them as malware even if they are not 'just' because malware is usually encoded this way.

Im not sure I can figure out this problem.. Everything appears to work.. but its off by hundreds of miles in some cases.  The further away the location, the further off the distance is. (It always shows 'shorter' than it really is.)

examples (All taken from Google Maps (shortest distances)):
Norman, OK to Washington, DC is 1,347.7 mi
But script shows the distance is: Distance to you: ~1151.79 mi

Norman, OK  to Pensacola, FL is 833.4 mi
But script shows the distance is: Distance to you: ~674.60 mi

Norman, OK  to Huntsville, AL is 684.7 mi
But script shows the distance is: Distance to you: ~613.58 mi

I cant even 'begin' to guess how to straighten this out.. 

OH! And as a side question... How do i remove the 'tilde'? Distance to you: ~613.58 mi

EDIT: I just saw you checked against routing distances. This is not a google routing module which would also not be possible, either because of the query speed and query quotas. It tells you the linear distance of two members not a street distance. Don't mix this up! I dbl checked and the distance is correct.

You can also check here http://www.distance.to for example.

The ~ you can remove from the output format in the module settings.

Ok.. so its "As the crow flies" and not "road distance" then, correct?

Yepp, linear geo distance = air distance. Maybe add an airplane.png for the distance and a route.png button with a link to google maps for driving distance by passing the city names to maps
