Friends Timeline Comments on Content

Side Note: I have no idea where to post things now LOL.

On the friends timeline you can see comments left on content and a "comment" link for leaving a comment.  I use to think that one could leave a comment on the content through the timeline without visiting the content; which would be nice.  I tried it once and noticed that my comment did not appear on the content leaving me to believe that the "comment" link is just posting the comment to the timeline.  One would think that if you can see comments left on the content in the timeline that leaving a comment in the timeline would appear on the content itself, or at least I feel that is the way it should work.

Noticed the same thing. That's the way I'd like it to work too. 

Comments made on timeline for content should also appear as comments on static content page.

This one's had me pulling my hair out for a while.

I've had members inquire too as to why this is.

Same thing happens with EVO Wall (3rd party mod). Comments on content to the Wall are not saved as comments on static content page.

I've inquired on the support forum there too for this to be changed.

Members want their comments seen, saved and responded too.

Frustrates them greatly.

cause i have noticed it too, and my intention is the same, i bring up this issue.

I searched around here and have noticed that it works as it should with the demo based on 7.3

Is there a way to get this work on my 7.2.1 Installation too ?

 after adding the comment - click the number of comments - it should open up and show comments for that post

thanks Professor, but it is not a question of finding the comment

for example : you make a comment in the main timeline for anything that is shown there, e.g. a Video or photo, in dolphin 7.2.1 this comment is only shown in the timeline, not in Video or photo section also !

Now in dolphin demo 7.3 it works that way ! Comments you make in a timeline are shown in the timeline AND in the specific section of the subject.

ok, gotcha - in 7.3 - when you add a comment on the timeline - it is visible on the content view page. Thats a good thing isn't it? But I guess this does not occur in 7.2 - so, i guess that would be the question @geek_girl - which version were you using?

Yes, this was one of the improvements made with the current release.
