Forum Topics?

I'm building a site for the people in my county. It's just a general site. Any ideas on forum topics?

Visit other forums about the topic you're creating. There are thousands and most will let you see stuff without joining.

Google "Forum Australia" or something similar.

Is the site for people living in the state, people visiting or both?

Without knowing what interests the community or how many members it's hard to know what topics would appeal to them. If people have questions, they will usually create their own forum topics.

Start with Gold and Gem hunting places. Have one for "Lost Treasure" for the region. One for outdoor activities there, fishing, hiking, etc. 

 Sometimes you expect typos and they're just not there.
