This is the support forum for the Floating Side Menu mod.
Some persons have asked about getting a floating side menu similar to the one that is seen on Boonex Demo Site (demo.boonex.com). I have decided to replicate this so administrators can add a similar Slide-In/Slide-Out menu on their site.
There is an administration interface that allows easy management of the links for this menu. The links can have a clickable URL or they can be JavaScript enabled.

I have another idea that needs to be added. "Open link in other page", so the menu page that is being viewed doesn't get lost or become unreachable ... I am experiencing that situation right now...... Now if we could make different menu pages for different membership levels that would be kool :) |
Version 2.0.2 released. ( see patches/version_2.0.2 folder)
Administrator can chose to have links open in same or separate browser window.

I'm using your floating side menu and love it. I would like to create a link directly to the users profile. Is there a way I would be able to retrieve the user_name to put in the URL? |
I would have to modify the module the module to accommodate this sort of functionality. Are you only showing the menu to logged in members ?

I don't see a way to restrict it to members but that is what I would like to do.
If you don't mind a suggestion....
It would be really cool if the users could enter their own selections. This could be sold by website owners as a small premium or an addition to a premium package :)

The visibility of the menu can be restricted based on membership level. In the actions for each membership level, there is the option "floating menu show". Paypal email is jeromemingo@gmail.com - http://www.boonex.com/market/posts/modzzz |

@thefreeman - Sorry for the delay. I was away travelling due to the death of my father. Please PM me your Admin login details so I can look further into the issue. Paypal email is jeromemingo@gmail.com - http://www.boonex.com/market/posts/modzzz |
Installed great, no problems setting it up but would prefer that when a user clicks one of the menu items that the menu automatically returns to closed state. Instead if I click a link I have to then click the arrow to close the menu?
But thanks for the good job.
