Files module --- how to make it private?

I need a private folder-files system for a group of members (with a variety of membership levels).  I had hoped to use modzzz Ultimate Groups (private group) but it only has one folder per group so all files are lumped together... not good when there to be 100's of files added to the group every year.

Has someone figured out how to add a folder system to the Group module?  

Alternatively, has someone figured out how to control access to the default Files modules... so a set of folders can be secluded to a select group of members (various membership levels).  I've looked a the Private File Plus module and it's not a worthwhile option for me.

I think I need to simplify (or restate!) my request for help.

I need a Files-module change to create a PRIVATE GROUP's FOLDER PAGE (... that I can link to in the top menu).  It will be used to display all of a the private folders for a specific privacy group I've created.  Members in that group will belong to a variety of membership levels so I can't use membership-level actions to restrict access.

The closest I can get right now is this URL: /m/files/albums/ 
... but it displays all folders, not just those belonging to the private group.
I need something similar but with filtering to only display Folders with a certain privacy ID.  Those attempting to view the page, that are not in the privacy group, are either denied access (preferred) or only see a bunch of Private folders with no folder name.

I'm trying to make all group components restricted to group members but I can't find an easy solution for that.

Upload your files to your profile as normal, then set the privacy settings for those files to a specific group, such as friends only.

I custom created a solution that only applied to one group's documents (a specific solution for my situation).  My guess is that you may need a good programmer that's knows Dolphin reasonable well (not me) to provide a more general solution for all groups.  My intuition is that it's possible but may require changes to several places in the code base.

I need something similar but I need restrict content ( photos, files, and videos) to only one membership group - so people in different membership groups will be not able to see it... an mod for this ?
