Files bigger than 2mb

Dolphin 7.1.3 can't upload photos over 2mb. I have reviewed the ton of posts about this problem and can't seem to find a solution. Have added .htaccess and php.ini lines - max upload 10m, max post 10m to root . Max upload and max post are both set at 105mb on my server. Changed max upload time on server to 70sec and rebooted apache...still no luck. Hope someone can help me out here because pics i will be uploading are all around 5mb for artistic quality.

Under your host tools, what do you show for your setup? This following is what one should look like.

Also, in 7.1.x, under media modules (sound, video) you have a limit preset, but that is more than 2M.

Thank you for the response - here is waht i have listed - as i said in original post my server is set to 105mb on max upload and max post...why would dolphin show 8mb and 2mb? Also magic quotes ARE off why does it show "on"? I can look into installing a php accellerator but don't think that is my problem here. Thanks for your help!

Where did you create this php.ini file?

It's quite obvious the php.ini file you created is not taking effect.

Some host configurations do not allow for per directory php.ini files. Example would be host setup as FastCGI

Is this a dedicated or shared server?

What modifications did you make to .htaccess? Also note that settings placed in a .htaccess file only work if the host is setup for mod_php(DS0). In other words, php running as an apache module.

Where is this:

set both max post size and max file size.

If you are planning on allowing video uploads, I would set file sizes at least 500 megs or greater and don't forget to adjust in the module settings in the backend.

Your php.ini file is in a incorrect format.

php_value upload_max_size 128M is incorrect

upload_max_size 128M is correct, but upload_max_size does not exist. Proper name is upload_max_filesize

Below is a ideal php.ini file for use with dolphin. If a php.ini file is used, settings in the .htaccess are not needed, and some settings can't be used in a .htaccess file anyway, so it best not to use them. Use a php.ini file instead if the server supports it.

Deano you are awesome! That did the trick for me although I did have to place a copy of php.ini in my admin folder to get it to work - thanks for your help!

If that's the case, then you may find that your server requires one to be in every folder in dolphin. If it had to be in admin for admin to see then changes, then the admin page is going to be the only page that sees it.

Some servers require this, not easy to do.
