File Upload Failed

Hi, Im trying to upload videos since upgrading to 7.2.1 and get the "File upload failed" error.

Audios and images upload fine and I can embed youtube videos but none of the video types I have tried upload. .flv, .mp4.

I have checked the server settings (php.ini) and video admin settings and the filesizes are adequate for an upload attempt.

All the permissions are correct and all settings show OK (green)

I am thinking that it has something to do with the ffmpeg.exe not being updated with the upgrade but not sure how yo get e newer version or check.

Any tips appreciated thanks

ffmpeg was upgraded in the 7.2.x release.

Thanks Geek Girl.

I actually included ffmpeg in the upgrade.

Nathan took a look and he pointed me to my host.

I kinda thought as much as even though Im no expert or even a programmer all the settings were fine and ffmpeg was updated so it really points to the host.

I use TDMHosting who are looking into it now.

It worked fine before though so suspect that it is something that the new version requires, or a setting I have changed regarding another site that may have effected the current 7.2.1.

I am just learning that ewverytime I upgrade I have to start problem solving again and so really need to create a system to record events as I do them.

I just started doing that. deehr

thanks again for the input though. Every little helps.

I suggest creating a clone of your site for testing upgrades before applying them to the live site.

Thanks Geek Girl, I always back things up and follow instructions. Everythings ok now it was tdm hosting allowances issue. But could also run a clone. Thanks.

I have the same problem.  It seems that the program will not allow to upload files over 64 Mb.  I tried to reset it many times, and get the same thing.  Under the max amount it is okay, over it, the program stops.  My PHP.INI is set at the default at 1024 Mb.

This problem has been raised several times before. I recall seeing a simple solution, but I'm not sure if the following is it:

add:

php_value post_max_size 256M  (or whatever)

in the .htaccess file...

It seems TMB has an upload limit.
