I normally use Dreamweaver when doing custom php pages, so i would upload files using it. For some reason, my permissions (group) were acting funky when using Dreamweaver to upload files. So, although the files were there and had the proper permissions, I still kept getting a bunch of crazy errors, and spent hours on hours trying to figure out what was going on.
Because I was out of town and using a new laptop, I did not have dreamweaver installed on the laptop so i just installed winscp for a temporary usage - cause i only needed to upload 1 file. Magically, I did not get any errors on this page.
So, when I got home, I installed winscp and uploaded my files and voila - everything worked with no errors. Now keeping in mind that I have been using Dreamweaver for years, I am totally baffled as to why this happens. But I do notice that it only happens on my 7.1 install - not on any of my previous installs.
I truly do not believe this is a 7.1 issue but something else. If anyone has any ideas, I would greatly like to know what I could have possibnly done. Although things are working fine now, it's gonna continue to bug me.
