Field won't delete

I have a field called "Job_Title".  I noticed I was getting bad caption data when I viewed by profile "_FieldCaption_Job_Title_View:" which sometimes happens when the caption is blank.  I try to add a new caption but it won't save.  I mess around with it a bit and give up, and decide to delete the field and start again.  I get the normal warning message that the field will be deleted permanately, and go head and delete it anyway, but it is still there in the active area.  I refresh the screen and it is still there, so I go to delete it from the profile fields table in phpmyadmin.   No error messages are generated, but I can still see the Job_Title field there under ID 57.  Refresh again, still there.  When I click on it, however, it says it can't find it.  What the hell is going on?

Deleted everything in the cache directory - still there.  Tried to delete from fields builder but it is still there- so I moved to inactive area.  Tried again to delete from the profile fields table- give this error message but is still there:

#1034 - Incorrect key file for table 'ProfileFields'; try to repair it

Repaired the table- no error, but it is stll there.  Grrrrr

p.s.  same thing seems to be happening with another field I have "organization" - but I haven't started the process of trying to fix it.

OK, so I decide to be clever and just bypass the problem by putting "job_title" in the inactive area, and then make a new field "jtitle" and use it instead.  Then I enter a new record and get this error:

Update: ok, I got the field deleted.  Somehow the "job_title" field got labled as "undeleteable" - maybe by Boonex tech support.  When I changed this, I was able to delete it from profile field table, and verified that it was not in the profile table HOWEVER - it is sitting there in the inactive items area of field builder.  When I click on that block I get "error: field not found" -so I can't delete it.  Then when I try to add a new record I get:

OK - it was stupid as these things often are.  After checking just about every cache file in Dolphin it ended up being in my browser cache.  I didn't think a browser cache issue could cause a block to stick in profile builder, and cause a database error to be generated, but apparently it can.  Thanks to Sammie for helping me track this down.
