Field Builder Buttons

Okay, I tried this again and got the same exact result as before.  So, I'm going to show in detail what I did and hopefully someone can show me where I'm making the mistake.  It's getting annoying that something so simple is coming out so wrong, trying to add items in Field Builder for the Profile Join/Edit/View pages and the results are not appealing.

Steps I took in order:

Admin=>Settings=>Predefined Fields=>Create New

This is a copy of how I filled it out:

From there I went to:

Admin=>Builders=>Field Builders=>Profile=>Join

I then dragged the New Item Button from below and dragged it up under General Info

Here is how I filled out the button information:

General
Name:  Seeking
Caption:  Seeking
Description:  Describe type of relationship you are seeking
Type:  Selector
Advanced
Selector Control:  Select (Drop Down Box)
Mandatory:  Box is checked
Used Lang Key:  LKEY
Default Value:    (Left it Blank)
Messages:
Mandatory Error Message:  You must select an answer from the list provided.
Matching
Match with field:  Seeking
Match Percent:  75
**Clicked Save
Placed the button on Profile Join/Edit/View/Search (All in the same spot)
I then logged in as admin and went to the profile.  It came up perfect.  Showed the field and what the person is seeking.
Logged out as Admin and in as a Member.
Went to the same profile and this is what I got:
_FieldCaption_Seeking_View: _Long Term Relationship
Why Am I getting this?  Suggestions on fixing this problem are greatly appreciated as I have several more fields to complete.
On the Join page drop down menu for this item, this is how it appears:
_E-mail/Chat
_Dating
_Longterm Relationship
_Intimate Encounter
_Hang out
_Activity Partner
Friends
***Note that friends appears correctly, the rest have an underscore in front of them.  All are entered the same exact way.
Thanks for the help guys
_E-mail/Chat
_Dating
_Longterm Relationship
_Intimate Encounter
_Hang out
_Activity Partner

Have you created language keys for the above?

I am not sure but maybe this Used Lang Key:  LKEY needs to be _LKey

and these might need to be:

Go to admin/settings/language. You can create values there.

This is where I get lost.  What I go to Predefined Values=> Create New it says Script Prompt=>Please enter name of new list.  Enter Seeking, it then creates the section where one column says:

Value         LKey           LKey2          LKey3         LKey4

There is no place to create _LKey or to select _Lkey with the underscore on this page or in Field Builder.  Is there something else I need to do to create this Lkey and where do I do that?

New language key name: _Dating
Category: Membership (or whatever reference you wish, click on the drop down box and select an option. Or you can create a category of your own)
Language string parameters: Leave empty
String Text: Type a description here.

You have to do this for each language key.

Create one and check that it is ok. You can delete this key if you make a mistake.

Do a search on here, there are threads describing this in more detail.

That " #!  " trick for predefined field is how it should be done.  Someone told me about it.  I have no idea where it is documented.

Hey there Stuart. Hope you've resolved the issue by now. If you haven't and are still experiencing " _FieldCaption_Seeking_View:  _Long Term Relationship" and these sorts of problems, then try one or more of the solutions which worked for me (DON'T FORGET TO BACKUP YOUR dB prior to try the suggestions below!):

(1) "Note that friends appears correctly, the rest have an underscore in front of them." Instead of having the values exactly beneath one another as you have them now, then insert a space (by using the enter key) between each line so that they look like the example below prior to pressing SAVE, like this:

_E-mail/Chat

_Dating

_Longterm Relationship

_Intimate Encounter

_Hang out_Activity Partner

(2) Another way I fixed this was to shorten the alpha-numeric values, ie.  change _Long Term Relationship to "_Committed Relationship" (or a better descriptive ONE word for the value/choice)

(3) In some instances, I have found out that the underscore ( _ ) isn't necessary in some cases and that if you remove the underscore,  the underscore won't show up on the join.php page either like your issue, the appearance of "_FieldCaption_Seeking_View" appearing on your join.php page. Go figure; welcome to Dolphin.

Anyway, the above fixes worked for me. Hope this info helps you too (please let me know if it does or doesn't). I'd appreciate comments about the above "solutions" from anyone with an opinion on the subject. These forums are great for helping one another. Good luck on your project!  :)
