Featured pics on homepage

There is a way to display only the photos marked as "Featured" on the homepage, instead of the "Public Photos" ??

I just want to display on the homepage (the actual pictures, not just a new menu), pictures having been granted for public display from an admin.

I found a way to do this for all the pictures through the moderation setting, but the problem is that doing this, a user will need approval to insert pictures even on his own album and cannot share it with everyone, i only want to moderate the homepage.

Thanks.

There is a post describing exactly how to do this.

You need to search the forums.

You can see it here: http://www.asia-connect-th.com/

There are none so blind as those that will not see.

Thank you Stuart038, that's exactly what i meant, but how did you made it???

I always search on the forum, i only managed to find another person that had the same problem, but he has been directed to a link explaining how to put a menu item for the pictures, not how to put the pictures itselfs....i only post a request before i get insane, i have no luck with the search engines...

Would you mind to share your secret?

If you not able to do something as simple as move a page block, then edit the module settings in your admin menu; you need to use more than a simple link from me, which I don't have.

You may want to start searching on youtube for how-to videos.

The questions your asking are very, very basic functions in the administrators control panel.

Hi Prashank25, wouldn't i get the same error as the one Stuart038 was mentioning in his link?

I also noticed that there is no follow up listed for that problem on the thread, very worrying...

Ok i am going to install the Deano's tool and try the Prashank25 code, then i will come back to report for either rant or thanking about it....Laughing

Cannot install the Deano's tool, the module is in the "uninstalled modules" but when i try to install it, i get a red "Failed".

I then went to his website, on the page dedicated on the installation troubleshoting for this module, and here is what you can read there:

WARNING [2] require_once(/home/klhejdml/public_html/modules/boonex/forum/layout/base_en/params.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/klhejdml/public_html/modules/boonex/forum/layout/base_en/params.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php') in /home/klhejdml/public_html/modules/boonex/forum/layout/deanos_basic_black_en/params.php on line 3
