Fatal Error on SAVE in Settings

In RC2 I get a FATAL ERROR when I save ANY changes in the ADVANCE Settings Menu.

I get:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function setSearchStartAge() in /home/vermonth/public_html/SaveMe/inc/classes/BxDolAdminSettings.php(104) : runtime-created function on line 1

Any ideas on this?

I have a brand new installation so there were no old files in inc/profiles.inc.php to be overwritten.

What is the procedure to fix the error?

I tried to replace the file with the one from the RC2 but I could not overwrite or delete the file. It keeps telling me.....

550 Rename/move failure: Permission denied

I went into the Cpanel and uploaded the correct file from the RC2 bundle.

However, when I go back to the installation and try to SAVE changes, I STILL get the same fatal error.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function setSearchStartAge() in /home/vermonth/public_html/SaveMe/inc/classes/BxDolAdminSettings.php(104) : runtime-created function on line 1

I seem to be stuck here.

I am having same issues and use a fresh zip and fresh install and was told same as you. They think we did not override a previous file, but we both have done a fresh install. This is a bug, not a file over ride issue as far as I can see.  Let's see how many more have same issues. Unless we are given a wrong file in the new D72 zip download. I go from this site and download the zip to my pc, then to my hosting through my cpanel file manager I download untouched zip to my hosting. I do not use ftp any more, and use my cpanel to unzip and install D7.

Thats at least two of us so far. We'll see if anyone else encounters the same problem. Hopefully someone will know how to fix this. We need to get this fixed promptly.

Ok, Im trying to see play around and see if I can help here. First thing is, you should clear ALL cache from the Admin Panel homepage (under Cache).

Try to save your settings again and see if this works.

Line 1 in BxDolAdminSettings.php is the <?

What version of php are you running? Should be at least 5.2.x for D7

Permission level for this file is 644, in case your wondering.

Chris

Edited: I noticed that some of the BxDolAdmin*.php files have <?php on line 1 instead of just the <?

Nothing to see here

Sorry, been sick the last few days.

I removed the installation,  downloaded a new copy and installed that. Everything is working fine now. Also that file was indeed there this time.
