Fake reviews?

The number of reviews from starter profiles, and the lack of site interaction from others seems odd.

But I have seen reviews from members that I know to be valid as well.  Have others noticed reviews that may be fake?

I'm not trying to point fingers, just want to know what others think.

It's a good product and popular too. I believe the reviews to be bone fide. Basically everyone wants a site like facebook, but the standard implementation of the wall does not have enough interaction. This mod adds it in.

I have this mod installed on my site, it works great. I have also trusted the author with access to my site to resolve an issue (not an issue with the mod, but a memory issue).

I too was skeptical about a closed source mod, but at the end of the day, I do not hold it against the developer for wanting to protect their product.

I have issues with encoded code as well, but I may give it a try.

I guess I'm just surprised how popular it is, especially compared to the rest of the market. As you know, there are popular and free mods that don't get that many reviews (or a simple thanks (and that reminds me I have some comments to write)).

Sorry if I am speaking personally.
We also are surprised to have received so many reviews.

But we believe that the three modules: SpyWall, 1Col and 3Col are very useful to make a living community.
There has been inspired by facebook, even if many functions have been limited because most hosting limited resources of hosted sites.

The code is not open source (this is written clearly in the market posts) but each user can change styles via css file (and choose various options and settings).

We received a lot of scams of users who have illegally sold our works on other sites (these are under investigation).

Fortunately these versions are very old: they have fewer features, and have some errors that we corrected thanks to the reports of our customers, now they are almost all our friends. They understood that the encoding and activation are necessary to continue working with this CMS platform.

We also want to provide open source software (because is easier to provide support) but unfortunately, because of the fraud had already, and to ensure support to those who actually bought our mods, we have to continue like this.

We hope you understand these motivations, however, that I know of buyers.

All real reviews, good provider and good product. You can tell there's a lot of work invested and support is there.

Those who work to support knows how difficult it is to answer all the questions that people ask.
