Facebook connect for Dolphin

Is there a FB connect here that is reliable and that works with Dolphin?

Deano use to have some, I think Modzzz as well.  The problem is FaceSucks keeps changing the API all the time and many developers found it was just too much of a hassle to work with FaceSucks.

What is the problem with build-in Facebook Connect module ?

I will admit I have not kept up with FaceSucks Connect.  One of the issues in the past was the Boonex FaceSucks Connect not recogising existing accounts or some such thing and would create a new account when the member was already on the site.  I can try to search Boonex if I have time.  Therefore, third party FaceSucks Connect module tried to overcome that issue.  If this is not the case for the Boonex Connect module then my apologies.

There is no such problem anymore, now checking is performed by email.

7.3.3 has a built in FB connect ? I was not aware of this, i have Deanos, and it does not work anymore.

 Yes.  In fact, earlier versions came with a FaceSucks connect as well but with some issues.  Alex said that is not the case now so if you like, try the Boonex version.

The only FB connect i see on my site is Deano's, i don't see any other.

This is the message i get

App Not Setup: This app is still in development mode, and you don't have access to it. Switch to a registered test user or ask an app admin for permissions.

Ok, i got it to work after locating the boonex FB connect. Going to continue the setup.

Usually it happens with not proper setup in Develoepr Facebook area.

Basically you need:

1) Enable "Embedded Browser OAuth Login"

2) Disable "Use Strict Mode for Redirect URIs" and enter a redirect URI like the way I did.

3) Leave all the rest of the options as they are.

4) Save your changes.

 You cannot disable "use Strict Mode for Redirect URIs" - this option has been disabled itself, and it is default set to "enabled" so you cannot change it. What is the redirect URI you added?

I am still also having this problem. Sent Contact Us message to Boonex help, but no response. yet. Anyone know what the proper redirect URI should be for the Facebook Connect??

The current Facebook connection module which is available in Dolphin 7.4.x works now with Facebook itself.
