Anyone get it working or even see it on the site???

You have to apply the API from Facebook in the admin panel under Extensions.  And then you have to change a bunch of settings within Facebook. But beyond that I dont know how it works or what it even does.

Hi, you need generate your api keys and secret in your facebook account (http://developers.facebook.com/get_started.php)
after it you will need to install facebook connect modules and past recieved secret and api key in facebook  connect module. After it into your site's logged form will appear new field "auth type". Where you can find two auth types such as : basic and facebook connect!!

PS: If possible do not write me personally, please try to ask on the forum first

Once you receive your API and Secret key you need to setup your Canvas Callback URL.  This can be found within the App settings.  Facebook Connect is appears to be working correctly on my site.

I set the facebook up and see  the new field "auth type", but guess I have not  clue how to set the Canvas url, or not sure what to add for that canvas url.

Anyone able to help?

You do it on the facebook delevopler app site.  Edit the setting on your app and choose canvas from the menu on the left.  The top URL I just added my domain name without the .com and for the second I pointed it back to mydomain.com/member.php.  Hope this helps.

I did all that, and all I get with the Facebook Connect Login is a page that says:

Under Construction

Sitename is under construction.

Note to application developers:

To fix this error, please set your Canvas Callback URL in the application settings editor. Once it has been set, users will be redirected to that URL instead of this page after logging in.

What is the Facebook Connect suppose to do?

Page URL - I simply added my domain name.  I didn't know what to put but this seems to have worked.

Callback URL - I put in URL to my dolphin install.

I got it to work where I could login using facebbok username and pas and it would create an account in Dolphin, and I could even logout and back in using facebook connect, however now when I try to login with another facebook account, it just goes to a blank page with the following url.

Not sure what is happening that it doesnt work.... anyone got any ideas?

This is annoying, but I think I got it working, if you do it right.

Set your Canvas Page URL to whatever, and Your Canvas Callback to where your site domain.

Then, you have to type in your Facebook Username and Password first, then choose authentication type as facebook (Don't do it first, or you get an error) My suggestion would be to move the Auth option below the username and password.

Kind of cool, if you are already logged into facebook on another tab, then choosing the Facebook Auth login option in Dolphin will automatically add your profile.

Hi,

I've seen that some of you guys have got this running. Is there any chance that any of you could jot down some bullet points about how you got FB Connect set up and, specifically, got the profiles integrated.

I think I've got a Javascript problem that's stopping me from making much progress just now, but I'm working on that and would really appreciate some guidance as to how get the rest of the set-up process nailed. No need for detailed instructions, just the main points is fine. I've spent far too long working on this site already and FB Connect is the last big hurdle!

Thanks,

Tom
