This is the support forum for the FMyLife Clone mod.

Can you only vote once; either on 'your life sucks' OR 'you deserve it'?

or can you vote once on each 'your life sucks' AND 'you deserve it'

On your Demo I was able to Vote once on each part.

suggestions for this mod:-

1. ability for post to be shown in page title

2. block to show other posts on the 'view post' page

 ok I see a related block on the view post page ;)

maybe also good to show non related block or option ?

Description as 'page title' or possible page title option ?!

The reason I say this is all posts shows the pages titles as the 'main site name'. This is bad for seo and getting pages noticed in search listings etc

Modified to prevent empty emails from being sent (in case where there are no updates from subscribed members)

Fixes issue where the post is not shown properly in some sections (such as in Spy)

Adds the ability to include member thumbnail in posts (this can be turned on/off in the settings).

hello modzzz...

i have a issue where the post/page URL shows the 'anonymous' poster's username ?

for example here:-  /m/fmylife/view/seo-guy

the post is anonymous but you can still tell who made a post by the URL ?!

Quick question, I notice looking at the original FML site, that each post has a facebook and twitter link attached, is this something that you have on your version also?

If not, will it be added?

I certainly suggest you try this module... my network users have been enjoying this module in particular and with a few little tweeks of my own I have even managed to make it unique compared to FML

I too am interested in the 'share' feature added to this mod ;)

Would it also be possible to also place the Facebook LIKE Button next to each post like the real FML?  I wouldn't even mind having this part be custom made.

Voting on view page and Facebook Like suggestions will be implemented the next update release.

how would I make rewrite rule so that /fmylife/ does not show in URL ?

I would like it to show something else if possible ...

also ... is it possible to have 'voting' on the actual 'view page' ?

Other suggestions : better choices in settings for example 'show top posts' on homepage

 The module would have to be renamed prior to installation.

 I will make a note of these suggestions for future update.

I was looking at FMyLife site and they have many other things that would make BIG difference to this mod for example:

1) search posts by location

2) FB like and social share options within each post

3) voting on actual post page

FMyLife Clone - Version 2.0.5 released. (See patches/version_2.0.5 folder in zip file)

Social Share options is now available within each post.

Social Share block is now available on the view page.

Voting is now placed on the view page.

Improvement on the 'search posts by location' feature.
