FB connect

Trying to setup FB connect in Dolphin (using the default mod.

Why am I not able to get to the FB setup page? Perhaps FB has changed it and the Dolphin site is not updated, I need to get the API codes.

Go Here. https://developers.facebook.com/apps

If you have not setup a facebook application at that url above, you will need to do that to get the app keys.

This is a new site, I opened a account by choosing to creating a page on FB, Now I guess in this mode it will just not allow me to get API codes. Perhaps it needs my personal info for the site?

I do not understand.

Are you saying you do not actually have a facebook account?

I am not sure. If you have never setup a facebook application on the facebook side you should see a button on the link i gave you that says setup a new app.

You do need to be logged into facebook.

I guess i am just not getting what your saying.

I do have an account. But now I am building an launching a new site, I wish it to be totally separate. So I opened another account with no name just went in and said I want to Create a page, I entered email address and password and it allows me to create a page for my business, but I guess it will not let me do anything else.

I was not aware there was such a thing as a limited account.

You do need a full account because creating an app will require validation of account via a mobile phone number or a credit card number the first time an application is set up on the account.

Yes, they are really a pain like that. There must be personal info attached to every account. Else poof..I am trying something with my other account - see if it works.

Yep, they must have a proper account else you cannot generate an api code.
