Error code on Forums after upgrade to 7.0.9

upgraded my site to 7.0.9 and find that the forums are now throwing an error :

Any suggestions ?

Using a 3rd party template?  if so that's possibly the problem.   add this to the end of your domain name  ?skin=uni  and try to load the forums then manage forum  then recompile...

I have added a template, and went to re-compile, and get the following error:

"Language files compilation have been failed. Please check folders permissions."

If you use HOST tools, you get all the permissions are OK, but still does not compile.
