Error With Facebook Connect

Hi.

After upgrade to 7.1 my users can´t login with facebook connect. They see these messages:

API Error Code: 191
API Error Description: The specified URL is not owned by the application
Error Message: Invalid redirect_uri: A URL informada não é permitida pela configuração do Aplicativo.

Before 7.1 the module worked well.

Any tip? Thanks.

Your sites url does not match what you have on the facebook side for a url setting in the app.

You must have changed the url such as adding or removing www

And are you sure it was working before? The 7.0.9 version of facebook connect should have stopped working last month when facebook made some changes.

I thought this but I only did the upgrade from 7.0.9 to 7.1 in the same path and did nothing in the facebook side. Strange this.

Strange as it may be. That's what the error says, so you need to check for a mismatch in the URL.

Solved! I went to the module page and saw "After creating Facebook App you need to edit it and click on "Website with Facebook Login" section, then enter the following url in "Site URL" field: http://www.nameofmysite.com.br/ "

So I went to facebook and changed!

deano: You mentioned that the 7.0.9 version of facebook connect is no longer operational due to a facebook change. Do you know how I can update facebook connect without having to upgrade dolphin to 7.1?

I do not really know where to make the changes in the boonex version.

I sell my own version of facebook connect. I have not even looked at the boonex version in over 2 years.

Only thing i can suggest is to try and upgrade to the version included in dolphin 7.1 or purchase mine which is maintained through all these changes facebook keeps making.

I'll just buy yours then.. I'm currently running Dolphin 7.0.9. Does your module replace dolphin's facebook connect entirely?

Depends on what you mean by replace.

My module is separate. It can be installed even if the boonex version is present. But does the same thing the boonex version does and more. So it does not overwrite the boonex version if that's what you mean by replace.

I know there is one module in the market that depends on the boonex version. I do not remember the name of that module. But if you try to uninstall the boonex version and it says you have to uninstall something else then you will know you have another module that depends on it. That would be rare and if i remember, there is only one module in the market that requires it.

Yep, that's what I meant. I'd like to uninstall Dolphin's facebook connect.

I've installed your FB connect module. How can I change the "auth type:" name from Deanos FBC to Facebook connect?

Deanos FBC is just a language key. So you edit it like any other language keys.
