Enlarging description box

Hello,

I would like to make the "description" textarea box on the signup page longer so that those posting allot of info don't have to scroll so much. I can't find the file that contains the dimensions for this text box. Does anyone know what file contains this?

I have the newest classifieds ads box on my front page which previews the latest classifieds ads submitted. The images for the classifieds preview are too tiny. Where can I adjust their display size so that they are along the lines of the size of the images for latest members, latest profile photos, etc?

Yes, I am asking how to make the thumbnails for the classifieds larger. Specifically so they are larger in the listing of new classifieds ads on the front page of the site.
