Embed video only allows youtube??

It appears that the embed video function when adding videos only works for youtube.  The "continue" button will not allow me to continue if I use an url that is not youtube.  Has anyone been able to embed vidoes via the video embed that is outside youtube?

Example this flash should work fine to embed but the video embed function does not allow me to continue: http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/2505053/highlight/29256

I believe this is coded specifically for YouTube videos, hence the:

Your right I missed that, so now the question is why in the world would you limit the embed function of any videos to youtube??  And at least rename it from "embed" to "youtube" so everyone know's exactly what it is.

Sooo...how much did youtube pay for that exclusivity? Surprised

It's called whitelisting, and it's the right way to do it.  If you allowed the embed tag for any site at all, you are asking for trouble.  I would expect that, over time, additional whitelist filters will be added so that videos from additional sites can be embedded.
