Embed not working

when embedding just get loading doesnt do anything else please help d7-rc2

Does it stick on loading when trying to watch it or during the actual uploading of the youtube video?

Can you provide me the Youtube URL you are trying to embed. It may be because there are too characters in the description field, contains hyperlinks, or any other special characters that might get blocked by PHPIDS.

Try shortening the description (if its a large description)

I was able to embed http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5FcyV6VNos8 without error.

i dont know this seems the only thing not working correctly on my site frustrating did fresh install several times same thing i know its something simple cause all other uploading functions fine

Ok, just to make sure I have this right, you can embed some youtube videos but not all? ot you cannot embed at all?

i have a fresh install of d7 rc2 only video module installed cron jobs work, regular,flash upload works. MY problem embed option just hangs after you press continue i get the flash animated circle and after a long period of time the page refreshes and nothing no error message nothing.

any ideas anyone

here's what i would do uninstall  module video

reupload module video from rc2

reinstall module video see if that helps

I tried several things for bdebouck last night and was not able to get embed to work. Works fine on my site as well. He stated he did a fresh new install and still has the problem.

Only other possibility is that maybe a port configuration from the web host not allowing him to "retrieve" the information or a php function that is disabled. Anyone else have any input about these specifications?

Maybe outgoing connections are restricted by the server configuration, are rss blocks working properly ? they are using connections to remote sites too.

I can answer you and AlexT on this one. I checked the fopen and it is On. The RSS feed for Boonex news is loading on the homepage however I did not try to add a RSS Block.

Not sure after the reinstall but it was last night.

i appreciate everyones help on this. right now i have a fresh install with just video module installed.  all my server setting seem to be correct but i must be missing something still cant embed youtube any further advice on what should be checked.

I have just successfully added youtube embed to your site. So everything is working fine!

check if ffmpeg binary is match your OS and has appropriate permissions...
