Email Notification Issue

This is something I don't quite understand.  I do receive "New user joined" and "Periodic Report" emails everyday but the other modules, Ultimate Notifier (from modzzz) and IBDW EmailNoticitons from IllbelloDelWEB don't work and they both have the same problem.  If I get "New user joined" and "Periodic Report"  emails, the cron job is set up correctly.  Is that right?  Why I don't get anything from the other two modules?  Is there something I should check.  Any ideas?  Please let me know.  Your help would be much appreciated.

The new user joind and the periodoc reports are system notifications.

Most standard notifications are different. Check your profile. pedit

See if you have the option recieve site notifications checked. Each user of your site can choose if they want to recieve emails from the site or not. You might have yours off.

Ah!  I went back to my profile edit page.  I didn't see anything there.. then I went to Fields builder and added EmailNotify.  Checked that... BINGO!  Thanks so much for getting me in that direction!!  I totally forgot about that. 

I prefer not to use that and make it checked as always  They can go to Modzzz's module and turn it off.  Also i want to make sure every member's "Receive site notifications" is checked.  Do it in SQL?  

I think the default is already checked. 

In Profile table, i see many "0" for "EmailNotify".  What's the proper way to change all "0" to "1" in SQL? Just wanting to be sure before I mess something up.  :)

UPDATE `Profiles` SET `EmailNotify`=1

Then you will have to clear the cache as with any manually database change.
