Editing The Menu

Hi

I have currently been editing the menu using the ./inc/db_cached/MenuContent.inc. I am no php coding expert and normally code in a completely different language for different applications. In effect I am hacking around with the code. Editing this file works but disturbs me in the respect that I know that the word cache (part of the directory name in which this file resides) mean a temporary and quickly accessible store for something. Is there any other way to edit the menu items? Am I going about this the wrong way?

Similarly I need to edit the site stats on the front page. I did amend the SiteStats.inc. Only to find it got updated and returned to normal as it was a cached file. Makes sense. So how do I go about editing the site stats properly?

Be gentle. I am a newbie to php and mysql.

Cheers

Im not sure if I understand what you want to do, but if you want to edit css, try ckiking on members (link to the left) and find mrprowless I think...) he`s got really good video tutorials.

Hi

Thanks for the replies.

RumpyBumpy was the closest match, however on my dolphin admin there is no

Admin > settings > Builders > Navigation Menu Builder
This was the admin mneu that I checked. I then checked the directory structure in case that was what you were referring to. Sorry no such structure. Am I misunderstanding something?

Thanks

Paul
